Light to Life is an initiative of the Mar Thoma Mission Board of the Diocese of North America and Europe that aims to encourage social transformation by supporting the education and holistic development of less privileged children in different parts of India.

The Karnataka segment of the “Light to Life” program is the Canadian Mar Thoma Regional Committe’s (CMRC) own project/activity.  CMRC runs the project with generous support from parishioners in Canada. Christian Agency for Rural Development (CARD) will be the implementing agency in India.

CMRC aims to participate in humanitarian activities by providing care, support, shelter, food, clothing and medical attention to those in need, as a practical manifestation of the Mar Thoma faith in the local community, the country of Canada and the world at large in order to demonstrate and disseminate the message of Christ’s love.

Children supported through Light to Life are provided with educational resources, nutritious food, sufficient clothing, and opportunities for emotional, social, and spiritual growth.

The sponsorship amount is $300 CAD per year per child. (Only $25/month)

The sponsor will be informed of the child’s name and basic details and will be periodically updated about the Child's progress.

How do I Sponsor?

Your role as a Sponsor

Contributions can be made semi-annually or annually

Complete a sponsorship form (online) or paper form.
Payment options:

  • Online using PayPal or Credit Card (preferred).
  • e-Transfer to C.M.R.C.
  • Cheque payable to C.M.R.C.

Please fill out the online form to start the Sponsorship program.
Donations qualify for a charitable tax receipt.

  • Support the Light to Life Mission and take part in the mission of the church. This will help change the lives of underprivileged children in India.

  • Your contribution of $300 per year per child will have a huge impact on the children and their future.
